Some new work went live

+ Working at an digital ad agency (or even freelancing for that matter) is a cyclical experience. There's the insanity rush before while a project is being scoped, pitched and created. Then there tends to be a quiet lull while the production folks code up things and turn your comps into reality. Another small blip of activity for QA (quality assurance) before another bit of silence. Then the projects go live.

Personally, I tend to find a sense of relief and when projects are released out into the world.

Friday was a bit of launch madness. For The U.S. Fund for UNICEF, we created a iPhone app and a Facebook app. The Facebook app focuses on an engagement around Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF with a Jack-o-Lantern carver. It's the first of its kind that UNICEF USA has done on their facebook page. Your carving is sharable and also downloadable to use as a template for your carving in the real world. We've supplied carving shapes, stickers and even the ability to carve freehand with your mouse. It also provides more information for the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF initiative as well.
Check it out here on U.S. Fund for UNICEF's Facebook page.

The iPhone app also promotes Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF and has the Jack-o-Lantern carver, plus information about the initiative. Exclusive to the iPhone app is the ability to participate in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF virtually by texting, rather than ringing doorbells. But, it's also a way for people to get the latest UNICEF news, make donations and receive push and email notifications when a crisis hits and help is urgently needed. You can get the UNICEF USA iPhone app here.

The other big project that launched on Friday was Create Baskin-Robbins Next Favorite Flavor Contest.
