Monday things

Monday Mission 2.28

1. Have you ever sold anything through an online auction? What did you sell and did you make very much? Nope not yet.

2. Have you ever bought anything through an online auction? How was your experience? Not yet. I'm too low on cash to be buying stuff :(

3. Do you like the sun? Yes. To a point. Sometimes it gives me a headache. Getting a suntan? Yes although I'm less of a sunworshiper than I used to be. I look much nicer with a little bit of color. Have you ever had a bad sunburn? Oh yes. Many many times. Worst one was when I went to Hawaii and sat in the sun between 10-3. I had to wear the same bikini for days just so it would stay where my burn lines were.

4. Are you a vegetarian? No. Why? If not, have you ever considered it? Meat is good. Although I did go through a period when I was younger when I didn't eat it much. Also went through a no-chicken phase. And although I don't eat fish or seafood, it's more because I don't like the taste of it, not that it's because it's an animal.

5. Suppose you are getting into your car after you've just made your purchase from a store you visit twice a week. You suddenly realize you had a .35¢ item in your hand and you forgot to pay for it. What would you do next? (what *would* you do, not what *should* you do) I'd return and put it back. If someone asked I'd explain. Being a regular cutomer I'm assuming they'd at least recognize that and not make a huge fuss about it.

6. Sometimes it seems that there is just not enough time to do everything that must be done. Was there anything you wanted to accomplish this weekend that didn't get done? Um, shopping for a dress or something to wear to a wedding I'm supposed to be attending in a couple weeks. Although I wasn't too crazy about actually doing it so I don't mind that much that I didn't cross it off my to-do list.

7. What is your favorite game to play with a group and/or an individual? (board game, computer game, athletic, etc.) Boggle or similar game (wordfind at yahoo games is similar). Also love to play volleyball, indoors or outside. Also a fan of card games.

Today's comment topic is: Innie or Outtie? Innie. Outties scare me. Unless it's on an ickle baby or something. They just look weird.

Monday Memory
Share with us a memory of the very first time you drove a car. Now, we all know this should be your first driving lesson. But was it?? If you've never driven a car, is there a reason? (Obviously if you're too young this one is a bit of a dud.. sorry.. you can tell us a bike story if you like!)

First time I drove a car. Geez. I don't know if i can answer this one....trying to remember when that was. Hmm. It probably was helping move a car in our driveway or something like that. But first time on the road, I guess was just after getting my learner's permit. My mom went with me and on the way home, she pulled over and told me to get in the driver's seat. I wasn't ready for on-road driving. I refused and said I wasn't ready and complained that it was dark out and many more excuses. Finally I gave in and got behind the wheel...scared and nervous. As I pulled back onto the road, a car that felt the need to be going as fast as possible, tailed me the whole way as I did the speed limit. It was then that I coined the term "he's up my ass" to apply to drivers who feel the need to tailgate. As it was dark out he had (or she) their headlights on....and being so close...man, they were bright. Even more intimidating...which to be honest, I didn't need. Now when jerks like that are behind me, sometimes I will go extra slow just to piss them off. Aren't I mean ;)

Participation Positives:
- I am alive and healthy
- I have family that cares about me
- my sweetie
- I have a roof over my head
- catching up with old friends
- having food in my kitchen
- having coffee in my kitchen
- my air conditioner
- I have talent...even though I'm jobless
- I will get a great job doing what I love eventually
- I am not alone in being jobless
- my hair still looks good even though it's been nearly a year since it's been cut
- have someone to pound out a new concept with...yay!
Okay that was really hard. I know that most of those are kind of generic but I figure that since I've been so down in the dumps lately that it would be a good way to attempt to keep up my spirits. The negatives are way too easy to see right now. Got to find a way to let the positive stuff get through.
