Let the Mad Men Tweet
+ Total sadness. Adland reports (via Philmang) that AMC has sent Twitter a sent a DMCA complaint about the accounts of faux Mad Men characters from Sterling Cooper along with others from the show. What an awful move on their part. I have to wonder if they had even looked at the conversations that have been going on since Don Draper, Peggy Olson and the likes popped up on Twitter. Sure, they're not sanctioned folks from AMC--but who cares? They are getting folks to embrace the show even deeper and on a whole other level. If they are smart, they'll try to hire these mystery peeps and get them on board to continue their work. Besides, even without the thought of getting paid, they are, as we'd say in the advertising world, brand ambassadors - spreading the gospel of Mad Men. ;)
